Destination Packages is the accommodation, transport, and experiences business of The R&A.
What are the benefits of booking through Destination Packages?
Travel and ticket-inclusive packages include guaranteed, official tickets and a wide range of accommodation options. We also offer return course transfers via public transport, a special event programme, excursions in Liverpool and the surrounding areas, Official Merchandise vouchers, VIP options, experienced and knowledgeable staff throughout the trip and the opportunity to play golf on ‘England’s Golf Coast’.

What are the benefits of purchasing a Destination Package?
Buying from us you know your ticket is guaranteed to be official and that you are buying direct from the official licence holder. No ticket touts, no worrying queues on online just simple and easy access to travel and ticket-inclusive packages. Our packages include official entry tickets and a wide range of accommodation options to suit every budget. When you buy a Destination Package you are guaranteed an experience to fit your needs and budget. Every package includes an official ticket to The Open, no need to test your luck in the Ticket Ballot, and we offer a variety of accommodation options to suit any budget. We also offer return course transfers via public transport, a special event programme, optional excursions in Liverpool and the surrounding areas, Official Merchandise vouchers, VIP offerings, and opportunities to play golf on a variety of carefully selected courses.
Are tickets guaranteed as part of my package?
Yes, official tickets to The Open are included within our packages with 100% guarantee.
What packages do you offer?
Hotel and Ticket inclusive – hotel accommodation and ticket(s) to The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale, with options to add tee-times and/or excursions
Hotel and Hospitality – hotel accommodation and official hospitality to The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale, with options to add tee-times and/or excursions
‘1860’ Hospitality – Deluxe accommodation, official hospitality, private transfers and ‘Between the Ropes’ experience, with options to add tee-times and/or excursions.
I can no longer attend. Can I cancel my package?
Cancellations are subject to the cancellation terms within our terms and conditions. However if you have someone who can take your place we can assist with a name change for a small admin fee, contact the Customer Service team for further information and assistance.
I require certain provisions due to medical and/or physical restrictions, can I still purchase a package?
Yes, please complete our Medical Questionnaire and contact our Sales Team in advance of booking. We will make any necessary enquiries with service providers to ensure we can accommodate for your requirements.
Do you offer bespoke packages?
Traditionally we do not offer bespoke packages as we have a wide range of options available to suit as many patrons as possible. If you are a large group that has specific requirements please contact the Sales Team on 0344 788 4085.
I want to play golf during my stay during The 154th Open
We have a range of ticket-inclusive packages that include tee times at some of the finest courses on ‘England’s Golf Coast’. The packages which include tee times are indicated by a ‘T’ within the package name and will include a tee time at your chosen course on a specific date. The exact tee time will be confirmed at a later date.

What is Destination Packages?
Destination Packages is the accommodation, transport, and experiences business of The R&A.
Can I buy tickets on their own?
No, individual tickets are not available through Destination Packages. Individual tickets without inclusion in a package can only be acquired via The Open Ticket Ballot or through the ticketing resale platform.
When will I receive my tickets?
Tickets for The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale will be delivered via The Open Tickets app accessible via smartphone in the weeks before The 154th Open commences. You will be notified of the ticket distribution method in your Championship documentation.
Do I receive physical tickets?
No, tickets for The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale will be delivered via The Open Tickets app and can be accessed via smartphone in the weeks before The 154th Open commences.
Provisions will be in place for fans who do not have access to a mobile device capable of running a smartphone application.
Can I add tickets for friends and family who haven’t booked a package?
No, tickets are allocated on a per person basis for package bookers only, as an official tour operator we are unable to sell ticket only.

Enhanced Experiences (Hospitality) FAQs
Can I purchase Hospitality as part of Destination Packages?
Yes, we have package options which include Enhanced Experiences for each day you attend The 154th Open. There are a variety of Experience levels
Is there a dress code?
We advise that you dress smart casual or in golf attire. Comfortable shoes are recommended – golf shoes with soft spikes and smart trainers are permitted in all of our facilities. Denim and shorts are permitted. It is also advisable to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat in case of hot weather, and umbrellas or waterproofs in case of rain.
Can a junior attend in Enhanced Experiences?
Children under 16 years of age can attend The Open accompanied by an adult who holds a valid ticket. Children do not gain free entry to any Enhanced Experience Areas and must have their own Enhanced Experience ticket paid in full. Babies 18 months and under will be permitted access to these areas but will still require a Junior Ticket. Junior Tickets are subject to availability and must be arranged when making your package booking.
Can you bring a rucksack/bag/luggage into the Championship?
Small bags/rucksacks will be accepted into the Championship, but may be subject to security searches. Oversized bags will not be permitted within the venue.
Do you have a cloakroom in Enhanced Experiences?
There will be locker facilities for Premium, Platinum and Signature Experience clients to store belongings.
Can I bring my camera?
Video recording is prohibited at all times. No flash photography is allowed. No professional cameras or video cameras or any photographic equipment used for commercial purposes will be permitted (The R&A will retain copyright over the reproduction of any images).
Is food and beverage included in my Enhanced Experience package?
Yes, complimentary food and beverage is included in your Enhanced Experience package. Full inclusions for each Experience can be checked here.

Can I upgrade my hotel room?
Destination Packages is the accommodation, transport, and experiences business of The R&A.
What is the minimum number of nights accommodation required to access tickets?
The shortest accommodation and ticket-inclusive package on offer is for a two-night duration.
I need a triple or family room
Triple and family rooms are available on request. As you go through the booking process, please add your request via the booking notes. These rooms are subject to availability and additional cost. After receiving your booking request, we will contact you to confirm availability and cost and you will have the opportunity to accept or decline the offer prior to confirming your booking.
I have accessibility requirements
We recommend that you book the package you desire, then complete the medical questionnaire. We will then look into options for accommodating your requirements with the various suppliers in your selected package. Accessible rooms and services are subject to availability.
Why am I being charged more for having one person in a room when I am travelling alone?
This is the single room supplement. This is incurred by a person occupying a room on their own as our packages are costed on the basis of two people sharing a room.
Does my hotel stay include breakfast?
All hotels are on a bed & breakfast basis unless stated otherwise.
Transfer FAQs
How do I get to and from Royal Birkdale?
All of our ticket-inclusive packages include public transportation to get from your accommodation to the course and back. The most efficient form of public transportation is for Royal Birkdale is via train.
There are private transfers from your hotel to and from the course within the 1860 Experience package.
Can I drive to and park at Royal Birkdale?
All public parking will be located at The Open Park & Ride facilities, where dedicated buses will be available to transport spectators arriving by car or motorcycle to the course.
(2025 info) Parking tickets are available to purchase on arrival at a cost of £17 from Sunday 13 to Tuesday 15 July, and £22 from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 July. A £5 discount will be applied to tickets purchased in advance (up to 5 PM UK Time the day before). Motorcycle parking will be available at a cost of £5 per day.
Car and Motorcycle Parking passes will be available to purchase the coming months.
Are transfers included to the course(s) I’ve booked a tee time?
Yes, we will provide transportation to and from the golf courses where you are playing.
Payment FAQs
Do you offer a payment plan and how much is the deposit required to secure my booking?
We will require a non-refundable deposit upon booking, followed by instalments.
Full payment terms can be viewed within our terms and conditions.
How will I know when my instalment payment is due?
We will send you an email in advance of your instalment due dates.
special event FAQs
What is the special event?
The Open Social will take place on the Friday evening and is in packages that include accommodation on that night. More details about the event including timings and location will be confirmed in due course.
Is the special event included in my package?
Please check your package inclusions to see if the special event is included. The event will only be included for those staying in accommodation on the Friday night as part of a ticket-inclusive package.
Excursion FAQs
Do you offer excursions outside of attending The 154th Open?
We will be launching a comprehensive excursion programme in and around Liverpool. If you have booked a package, a member of our team will be in touch closer to the event with more details.
Playing golf FAQs
I want to play golf during my stay for The 154th Open
We have a range of ticket-inclusive packages that also include tee times at some of the finest courses on ‘England’s Golf Coast’. The packages which include tee times are indicated within the package name, and within filters.
They will include a tee time at your chosen course on a specific date, with the exact time to be confirmed at a later date.
Which courses do you offer tee times at?
We have carefully selected a variety of courses including; Hillside Golf Club, Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club and Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
Can I play at more than one course?
Yes, if you have more than one tee time included in your package you can select different courses for different days. Please note we can only offer one tee time per day.
